U10 Skills and Dual Panel SL at Quechee on Saturday 2/9:
Register here by Thursday 2/7 at 5:30 pm https://adminskiracing.com/node/196394
Registration is from 7:30 - 8:30 am in the basement of the Base Lodge. Your athlete will get his or her lift ticket and bib here - please have them register themselves but keep the reminders coming about not losing bibs! Parent tickets are $22 and sibling tickets are $18 and available at the ticket booth at the bottom of the chair.
Coaches will meet the athletes at 8:30 am at the base of the lift. Athletes will be divided into mixed mountain groups for the AM skills training session from 9-11 am. The mixed mountain group will be their "team" for the day. They will meet this group again at 12 pm to inspect the dual race course. Race will begin at 12:45 pm with girls on red and boys on blue. The second run will be in the same bib order with each gender on the other course. Awards are given by training group team to the top 3 teams based on each teams' best four results. There are no awards for the skills - they are unscored for U10s. Awards will be about 20-30 minutes after the completion of the race.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS to Quechee:
Take 100 North (the right hand turn before Jackson Gore). In Plymouth, take a right onto 100A. When this dead ends at Rt 4, take a right. This will go through Bridgewater and Woodstock - watch for cops in both towns! The speed limit goes down to 25 twice - obey the speed limit. Continue through Woodstock and after a few miles as you come to the town of Taftsville (don't blink) you will see a big red covered bridge with a green roof on the left. Take a left to get to the bridge. Go across it and head straight up the hill. Follow this road for a mile or two until you see Quechee on your left. You can either park before the white building (base lodge) or after it. It takes about 50-60 minutes to get to Quechee.
U12 Super G Camp at Okemo:
Register here by Thursday 2/7 at noon https://adminskiracing.com/node/187967
Athletes should wear their GS suits like a race day (but have warm clothing over it - pants and jacket!) and be on their GS skis (no need for SG skis or longer GS skis) for this event. Registration is from 7:30-8:30 am in the upstairs of the Okemo Competition Center. Athletes will get their bibs (they have bibs even though it isn't a race) and then meet in the basement of the Summit Lodge for the camp meeting at 9 am sharp - be early. They will be with the camp all morning, have lunch from about 11:30-12:15 (they should plan to eat in the Summit Lodge because we will meet back there for the afternoon) and then be back with the camp until 3 pm. Much easier logistically than a typical race day.
