U12 and U10 Weekend Update + Speed Camp 1/18-1/21
Hello U12 and U10 Families,
I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the week! Skiing is great here after the snow we had last week and the cold, nearly perfect snowmaking temps earlier this week! Please read carefully for info on this weekend, as well as exciting save the dates!
U10 Training 1/19 and 1/20:
U10s will train according to regular schedule on Saturday and Sunday meeting at the usual spot. They will be doing Skills on SL skis both days. There is no U10 training on Monday - take the day to free ski as a family if you are able to be here. Only U10s who are part of the 3 day program or have signed up for a Friday drop in on 1/18 (by contacting me) should attend training on Friday (see info below and be sure to pay the drop in fee to Maggie in the comp center). WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE ANY MORE DROP-INS FOR FRIDAY 1/18 - EITHER U12 or U10.
U12 Schedule 1/18-1/21:
Once again, the U12s are going to participate in a special opportunity - An OMARA sponsored Speed Elements Camp with former USST member Marco Sullivan and his wife Anna (see attachment for more details - U10s are welcome to attend the Meet and Greet Saturday afternoon at OMS). U12s do NOT need to attend every day if they cannot.
U12s should be on GS skis all four days.
Friday 1/18: Meet at the yurt at the bottom of Wardance at 12:30 pm; train until 3 pm
Saturday 1/19: AM session 8:30-10:30 am meeting at the top of the AB quad; PM session 12:30 - 3 pm meeting at the Yurt at the bottom of Wardance
Sunday 1/20: AM session 8:30-10:30 am meeting at the top of the AB quad; PM session 12:30 - 3 pm meeting at the Yurt at the bottom of Wardance
Monday 1/21: Meet at the yurt at 12:30 pm; train until 3 pm (NO AM session)
U10 and U12 Friday Training 1/18:
Since there are quite a few drop-ins, I am including this info here rather than separately as I do other weeks. Again, WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE ANY MORE DROP-INS FOR FRIDAY 1/18 - EITHER U12 or U10. You needed to have contacted me about Friday training specifically - not just about the Speed Camp.
Athletes (U10s and 12s) should meet the coaches at the BOTTOM of the AB Quad at 9 am on Friday on GS skis. The group will ski until 11:30 am. Any participating U12s will then follow the Speed Camp schedule above. U10s will ski with the coaches again from 12:30 - 2 pm. Coaches will set an afternoon meeting place for the U10s.
Meet and Greet with Marco and Anna Sullivan - Saturday 1/19 from 4-5:30 pm at the OMS Fitness Facility (53 Main Street - in the blue barn style building):
All are welcome! Arrive at 4 pm for a Q&A session and stay to get some autographs!
Weekend of 1/26 and 1/27: U10s and 12s will train GS on Saturday. U12s will race GS at Pico on Sunday (register here: https://adminskiracing.com/node/181324 details to come) and U10s will train Skills on SL skis at home.
