OMST MLK weekend and upcoming USASA events
OMST parents and athletes,
On Friday 1/18, we have our first set of USASA Slalom and GS races held at Bromley Mountain. If your child will be racing on Friday, please make sure you pre-register your child online at: https://www.usasa.org/regions/new-england/southern-vermont Please make sure that you register for both events (GS and SL) on Friday. Athletes need to meet coaches in the Bromley Base Lodge at 8:15am on Friday and should have a fresh weather-appropriate hot wax on their boards. Bromley is a 35-40 minute drive from Okemo.
USASA 1/19 Halfpipe rescheduled
As you may know, the first set of USASA halfpipe events scheduled to be at Okemo on 1/19 have been rescheduled and moved to Mount Snow on February, 9th. Unfortunately, the mountain has not had an extended period of cold snowmaking temps needed to fire up the guns in the Zone and pipe area to have the pipe ready. The temps will be dropping on Friday and our hope is that the Zone/Pipe is first on the list for snowmaking.
USASA Slopestyle pre-registration for Mt Snow events on 1/25-1/27
If your child is competing in USASA slopestyle events, a reminder to please make sure you pre-register online for the upcoming Mount Snow slopestyle events held on 1/25-1/27 at Mount Snow. These events fill up quickly.
