Marco Sullivan Speed Camp Friday, January 18- Monday, January 21!
All Okemo Competition alpine athletes U12 to U19, be sure to attend the Okemo Marco Sullivan Speed Camp Friday, January 18 - Monday, January 21!
This is an OMARA sponsored camp and is offered at no extra cost to all Okemo athletes U12 and up!
Marco Sullivan is a former US Ski team world cup speed skier. Marco represented the USA in 4 Olympic Games and 4 World Championships. During his 15 year World Cup career he podiumed 4 times and won the prestigious Chamonix DH. Marco ended his career with 105 World Cup Downhill starts, which is the most ever by an American. Also attending is Anna (Goodman) Sullivan, Marco’s wife. Anna raced on the World Cup for the Canadian National Alpine Team from 2004 to 2013, she scored several top 15 finishes over her World Cup career and raced in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. She is also the founder of the Ski Racing Sisterhood which encourages girls to be empowered through racing camps specifically designed for girls.
Marco and Anna will be at Okemo working with the Okemo coaching staff to put on a 4 day speed camp with a focus on speed skills and fundamentals. Make sure you watch for information from your respective coach for the camp daily schedule and other information. Please note, that this camp will be run in lieu of and in conjunction with regular training. While it would be great to have all athletes attend every day of the camp, it is not necessary to do so to participate. The information will also be posted on the OMARA website.
